Job Description

We are looking for a new colleague to join our team in testing embedded software, as part of a testing group that operates as an integral part of a larger international project. The team develops software for control units that play a key role in ensuring safe transportation — thereby indirectly contributing to the reliability and safety of everyday life.

This position could be ideal for you if you’re looking to be part of a long-term, stable project where your professional development is supported through mentoring and training, and where you have the opportunity to work from home alongside a modern office environment based in Budapest.

As a member of our team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Testing embedded software in simulation environments to detect issues early in the development cycle.
  • Creating test specifications based on software requirements.
  • Evaluating test results and providing feedback to the development team.
  • Developing test processes and environments with a focus on increasing automation levels.
  • Designing and optimizing test strategies and workflows.
  • Providing technical mentorship and knowledge sharing to junior colleagues.
  • Actively contributing to the verification of requirement testability.
  • Collaborating closely with project leads and software developers.

You are the ideal candidate if you:

  • Hold an MSc degree in engineering.
  • Have at least 5 years of experience in embedded software development or testing.
  • Are familiar with testing methodologies such as SIL, MIL, and HIL.
  • Have a background in automotive or safety-critical development.
  • Possess confident English communication skills.
  • Demonstrate analytical thinking, precision, and a systems-oriented mindset.
  • Show a proactive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and mentoring capability.
  • Are open to working from the office 3 days a week.

It is plus if you have:

  • Experience with microcontroller-based systems.
  • Knowledge of Perl, Python, or object-oriented programming.
  • Background in automotive or safety-critical development (repeated for emphasis).
  • Familiarity with ANSI-C.
