SW Embedded Application Engineer

Job Summary

Our team is responsible for developing and maintaining a Linux-based Common Platform Framework (m2mb) and its associated APIs. We implement and support GNSS and Data applications, ensuring high performance and reliability. In addition to core development, we analyze customer-reported issues and deliver tailored solutions to meet specific needs. Through continuous performance optimization and proactive debugging, we enhance the stability and robustness of the Common Platform and its applications.

Objectives & Responsibilities

• Develop Linux-based platform APIs and embedded applications to support core system functionality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members to define project requirements, manage schedules, and ensure timely delivery.
• Ensure software quality through rigorous code reviews, systematic debugging, and continuous performance optimization.
• Partner with the customer support team to resolve technical issues and integrate user feedback into future releases.
• Design scalable and maintainable software architecture while documenting development workflows and standards.
• Identify and resolve software defects promptly to maintain platform stability and reliability.
• Reproduce and document bugs to streamline troubleshooting and accelerate resolution processes.
• Analyze system logs and core dumps to uncover root causes of failures and implement corrective actions.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Information Technology
• Hands-on experience in programming within Linux environments, with strong proficiency in C/C++
• Demonstrated expertise in debugging software issues across embedded or platform-level systems
• Familiarity with debugging tools such as GDB, Sanitizer, or equivalent utilities
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally without restrictions

Preferred Qualifications

• Solid understanding of GNSS technologies and wireless network topologies across 3G, 4G, and 5G
• Familiarity with embedded systems architecture and communication protocols
• Hands-on experience or strong knowledge of modem technologies
• Proficiency in RTOS and Embedded Linux environments
• Prior experience working with QCT (Qualcomm) chipsets is a plus
• Proven ability to debug and troubleshoot embedded systems
• Awareness of software security vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies
• Strong English communication skills are preferred for working in international environments
• More than 7 years of software development experience in embedded Linux OS environment
