Job Role: Robotics and Mechatronics Design Engineer
Location: Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai

About The Project:
The project funded by the Government focuses on developing and demonstrating drone and allied technologies. The project will address various applications through the utilization of advanced technologies and critical infrastructure. Strong industry connections and collaborations will be fostered to solve pertinent challenges and drive technological advancements. Additionally, comprehensive drone training and awareness programs will be provided to ensure proficiency and understanding among people.
Institute: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, Mumbai
Qulification and Key Skills Required:
- PhD with relevant experience OR
MTech / ME or equivalent degree with relevant experience OR
BTech / BE or equivalent degree with relevant experience
- Experience in-
Mechatronics and Industrial Robotics system design.
Electromechanical assemblies
Motion control using sensors, actuators and servo drives, etc.
Feedback control systems.
- Knowledge of computational software, like MATLAB, SIMULINK, and LabVIEW.
Job Profile:
- Design motion control for automated multi-level Stacking/ Docking system for drones.
- Perform system-level testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, software, and quality.
- Support prototype development, validation, and production deployment.
- Ensure designs comply with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and quality norms.
- Provide technical support for existing systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical documentation, including design specifications, manufacturing guidelines and reports.
- Any other work assigned as per requirement.
