Robotics & Vision Systems Engineer
to join our crew! The ideal candidate will be a hands-on robotics and computer-vision polymath who can build real-time video intelligence systems for airborne gimbals – from video compression and object detection to gimbal tracking algorithms and embedded optimization.
What you’ll do

Vision Algorithm Development: Develop and optimize real-time vision algorithms using OpenCV and deep-learning inference engines for object detection, classification, and tracking.

Embedded AI Optimization: Build and optimize AI inference pipelines on embedded platforms such as NVIDIA Jetson, or similar accelerators.

Video Processing: Implement and optimize low-latency video compression and streaming pipelines (H.264/H.265, RTP/RTSP) for airborne video links.

Gimbal Control: Design and tune closed-loop tracking algorithms for EO/IR gimbal systems, integrating camera feedback, IMU, and autopilot telemetry.

Tracking Systems: Develop classical tracking approaches, including Kalman filters, optical flow, feature tracking, and deep-learning trackers like DeepSort/ByteTrack.

System Integration: Integrate cameras, gimbal controllers, and onboard avionics to create robust, end-to-end perception systems.

Testing & Validation: Prototype, test, and validate algorithms under real flight and field conditions.

Collaboration: Work closely with autonomy, avionics, and RF teams to ensure high-performance video intelligence.
What we’re looking for
-
Experience: 5+ years of experience in computer vision, robotics, or embedded AI.

Core CV Skills: Strong command of image processing and classical computer vision algorithms using OpenCV.

Deep Learning: Experience with deep-learning inference frameworks (TensorRT, ONNX Runtime, PyTorch).

Embedded Expertise: Proficiency in C++ and Python for real-time CV/AI workloads and hands-on experience with embedded accelerators (CUDA, NPU, DSP) and platforms (Jetson’s).

Video & Streaming: Solid understanding of video compression, streaming protocols, and latency management.

Tracking & Dynamics: Hands-on experience with closed-loop tracking, gimbal dynamics, and stabilization systems.

Field Experience: Proven ability to test, debug, and tune algorithms in real-world field and flight environments.
Bonus:
Experience with SLAM, visual-inertial fusion, multi-sensor fusion, or Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) payload systems.
