Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Robotics QA Engineer to join our engineering team. The QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our ground robotic systems and autonomous platforms across simulation, software, and hardware integration stages. This role involves developing test frameworks, executing rigorous testing protocols, and collaborating closely with development teams to deliver robust, field-ready robotic solutions for defense, industrial, and railway applications.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for robotic systems, including UGVs, autonomous navigation modules, and sensor integration.
-
Perform functional, integration, regression, and system-level testing of robotic software stacks (ROS/ROS2-based systems).
-
Validate robot behaviour in simulation environments (Gazebo, Unreal Engine) before hardware deployment.
-
Test sensor performance and data accuracy for LiDAR, cameras, IMU, GPS, and other perception systems.
-
Develop and maintain automated test scripts and CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
-
Conduct field testing and validation of robotic platforms under real-world operational conditions.
-
Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking systems; work with developers to resolve issues efficiently.
-
Verify hardware-software integration, ensuring seamless communication between embedded systems, actuators, and control software.
-
Perform stress testing, endurance testing, and edge-case validation for robotic systems.
-
Create and maintain detailed test documentation, reports, and quality metrics.
-
Collaborate with simulation, software, and hardware teams to ensure simulation-to-reality transfer accuracy.
-
Support compliance testing and documentation for defense and industrial certification requirements.
