Job Summary

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer – Robotic Welding to support and optimize robotic welding operations in a fast-paced OEM manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on manufacturing engineering role focused on robotic welding automation, process improvement, and production optimization—not product design.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience programming ABB and FANUC robotic welding systems, developing welding parameters, troubleshooting weld quality issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Must-Have Skills

  • 3–7+ years of Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, or Welding Engineering experience
  • Hands-on experience programming ABB robotic welding systems
  • Hands-on experience programming FANUC robotic welding systems
  • Robotic welding process development and optimization
  • Manufacturing or metal fabrication background
  • Weld parameter development (Voltage, Amperage, Wire Feed Speed, Travel Speed, Shielding Gas)
  • Strong troubleshooting of robotic welding defects
  • Root Cause Analysis
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, weld symbols, and GD&T
  • Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing experience

K ey Responsibilities

  • Program and optimize ABB and FANUC robotic welding systems.
  • Develop, validate, and optimize welding parameters.
  • Troubleshoot robotic welding issues including:
  • Porosity
  • Spatter
  • Distortion
  • Lack of Fusion
  • Fit-Up Issues
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency and cycle times.
  • Support new product introductions and fixture development.
  • Create process documentation and standardized work instructions.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Operations teams.
  • Support the implementation of new robotic automation equipment.
  • Train production personnel on robotic welding processes.
