Job Description

Robotics Jobs Trujillo — Robotics Engineer (Remote, Full-time)

Join Rex.zone to build and improve robotics software for real-world autonomy, spanning perception, localization/SLAM, motion planning, control integration, and validation via simulation and hardware-in-the-loop testing.

About The Role

You will integrate sensors (camera, LiDAR, IMU), implement reliable ROS2 data flows and interfaces, and ship improvements that increase robot robustness, safety, and performance in production conditions.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and maintain robotics software modules across perception, mapping, planning, and control
  • Integrate, calibrate, and validate sensors; improve sensor fusion pipelines
  • Implement and tune SLAM/localization components (frames, transforms, telemetry-driven debugging)
  • Improve motion planning, trajectory tracking, and latency/stability budgets
  • Create simulation scenarios in Gazebo (or similar) and run simulation-to-real validation
  • Build automated tests, CI checks, and hardware-in-the-loop validation workflows
  • Analyze logs/telemetry to diagnose failures; document interfaces and runbooks
  • Collaborate in a distributed workflow using design docs, PR reviews, and release checklists

Required Qualifications

  • Mid-senior experience delivering robotics systems
  • Strong C++ and Python
  • Hands-on ROS/ROS2 development and systems integration
  • Knowledge of SLAM concepts, coordinate frames/transforms, and sensor fusion
  • Linux debugging/profiling skills; ability to design tests and interpret telemetry

Preferred Qualifications

  • Motion planning frameworks and computer vision fundamentals/calibration
  • Real-time constraints, control loops, safety/fault handling
  • Cloud/edge deployment and dataset replay; simulation-to-real workflows

Compensation

Hourly base pay range: $30–$50 per hour (USD), depending on experience and scope.

How To Apply

Apply via Rex.zone with an updated resume and links (GitHub/portfolio/demos). Emphasize ROS2, C++/Python, SLAM, sensor fusion, simulation, testing/CI, and measurable outcomes (latency, stability, navigation success-rate).
