Robotics Engineer (Remote, Full-Time)

Robotics Engineer jobs in Brasília on Rex.zone focus on designing, building, and deploying robotic systems that integrate perception, planning, and control into reliable real-world automation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve robot autonomy, simulation-to-real transfer, and system performance across mobile robots, manipulators, and industrial automation stacks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement ROS2 nodes, message interfaces, and lifecycle-managed components
  • Build and tune motion planning pipelines (trajectory generation, obstacle avoidance, navigation)
  • Improve localization, mapping, and navigation stacks (SLAM, EKF/UKF fusion, Nav2 configurations)
  • Integrate sensors (camera/IMU/LiDAR/encoders) with reliable timestamping and calibration
  • Develop simulation environments and test harnesses (Gazebo/Ignition) for simulation-to-real transfer
  • Optimize real-time performance through profiling, latency reduction, and robust logging
  • Create CI-friendly tests (unit/integration/HIL when available) and clear documentation

Required Qualifications

  • Mid-Senior experience building robotics systems in production or advanced prototypes
  • Strong C++ and Python experience for robotics software development
  • Hands-on ROS/ROS2 experience (TF, URDF/Xacro, rosbag, distributed debugging)
  • Knowledge of kinematics, dynamics, control systems, and motion planning fundamentals
  • Experience with sensor fusion and state estimation

Preferred

  • Gazebo/Ignition, Isaac Sim, or similar simulators
  • Computer vision (OpenCV, calibration) and/or LiDAR processing
  • Embedded Linux, real-time constraints, and hardware interfacing
