Job Description

Robotics Engineer (Remote, Full-Time) — Robotics Jobs Guadalajara

Rex.zone connects mid-senior robotics engineers with technology teams building autonomous and intelligent automation systems. You will design, simulate, test, and deploy robot software across perception, localization, navigation, and controls in a remote-first environment.

What You Will Do

  • Design, implement, and debug robotics software modules using ROS/ROS2, C++, and Python
  • Develop motion planning and navigation behaviors (trajectory generation, collision checking, path following)
  • Build SLAM and localization components and tune parameters for real-world robustness
  • Integrate sensors (LiDAR, RGB-D, IMU, encoders) and implement sensor fusion for stable state estimation
  • Create simulation and test workflows (Gazebo/Ignition, hardware-in-the-loop) to validate changes before deployment
  • Define acceptance criteria and run QA validation for safety constraints, reliability targets, and defect reduction
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with embedded, mechanical, and systems engineering teams
  • Document architectures, interfaces, and runbooks to improve maintainability and on-call readiness

Required Qualifications

  • Mid-senior experience delivering robotics/autonomous systems in production or advanced prototypes
  • Strong C++ and Python skills with Linux development proficiency
  • Hands-on ROS/ROS2 experience (nodes, topics, services, TF, bagging workflows)
  • Background in at least two: SLAM, motion planning, controls, perception, sensor fusion
  • Comfort with unit/integration testing, CI, and regression tracking
  • Ability to work effectively in remote, distributed teams with strong written communication

Compensation

Competitive hourly base pay: $30–$50/hr (USD).

Remote role aligned to Guadalajara search intent; job metadata country remains US per posting defaults.
