Job Description

Robotics Engineer (São Paulo) — Remote

Build and validate end-to-end robotic capabilities from perception to actuation. You will work with ROS/ROS2, SLAM/localization, sensor fusion, motion planning, and control, using simulation-to-real testing to improve safety, reliability, and measurable real-world performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement modular robotics software stacks using ROS/ROS2 with C++ and Python
  • Integrate sensors (LiDAR, cameras, IMU) and build perception pipelines with computer vision and sensor fusion
  • Develop and tune SLAM, localization, motion planning, trajectory generation, and control loops (e.g., PID/MPC)
  • Create simulation workflows in Gazebo or Isaac Sim and run reproducible sim-to-real validation
  • Define and track metrics such as navigation success rate, collision rate, localization drift, latency, and mission completion
  • Instrument logging/telemetry, debugging tools, and field test protocols for deployments

Required Qualifications

  • Mid-Senior experience in robotics engineering, autonomy, or related systems engineering
  • Strong C++/Python skills with attention to real-time constraints
  • Hands-on ROS/ROS2 development (messages, tf frames, lifecycle management)
  • Experience with SLAM/localization, calibration, sensor fusion, and robust debugging (logs/bag files/profilers)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Production robot deployment experience (AMRs, drones, industrial systems)
  • Familiarity with autonomy stacks (e.g., Nav2, MoveIt), behavior trees, and safety best practices
  • Experience with digital twins, sim-to-real techniques, and on-robot compute/latency profiling

Compensation

Competitive hourly rate: $30–$50/hr (USD).

Benefits/equity may vary by employer policy.
