Robotics Jobs Peru (Remote) — Robotics Engineer
Rex.zone connects candidates to remote, full-time robotics roles supporting real-world autonomy workflows across perception, localization, planning, and control. This role is listed with LinkedIn-compatible metadata (Country: US) while supporting distributed teams operating across regions.
About The Role
You will design, build, and validate robotic systems and autonomy features across perception (CV), SLAM, motion planning, and sensor fusion. You will work with sensor data (camera, LiDAR, IMU), ship robust ROS2 software, and contribute to AI/ML training workflows by defining dataset requirements, partnering on labeling, and running QA evaluation for model improvements and edge-case safety.
Key Responsibilities
-
Develop and integrate robotics modules for perception, SLAM, and motion planning
-
Create and maintain ROS2 nodes, message interfaces, and launch configurations
-
Run simulation testing in Gazebo and execute simulation-to-real validation
-
Define annotation guidelines and coordinate training data quality checks for perception datasets
-
Design and run evaluation protocols (offline metrics and on-robot tests) for safety and reliability
-
Debug timing, calibration, coordinate frames, and sensor fusion issues
-
Document system design, test plans, and deployment playbooks
Required Qualifications
-
Mid-Senior experience building robotics systems
-
Strong engineering skills in C++ and Python
-
Hands-on experience with ROS2, perception pipelines, and real-time constraints
-
Knowledge of SLAM, sensor fusion, and coordinate frames
-
Familiarity with motion planning and control concepts
-
Ability to design evaluation plans, QA checks, and regression tests
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience deploying to physical robots and performing calibration (intrinsics/extrinsics)
-
Exposure to CV training pipelines, dataset curation, and annotation workflows
-
Experience with safety validation for autonomous systems
-
Exposure to LLM-based interfaces for robotics (prompt evaluation, command grounding)
-
Understanding of MLOps for robotics (versioning, reproducible experiments, telemetry)
