Robotics Engineer (Remote, Full-Time) — Rex.zone
Join teams building autonomous and semi-autonomous robotics systems across perception, localization, planning, control, and integration. This role emphasizes simulation-to-real validation, telemetry-driven iteration, and measurable performance and safety outcomes.
What You'll Do
-
Develop and maintain ROS/ROS2 nodes for perception, localization, motion planning, and control
-
Implement motion planning and trajectory generation with safety constraints and real-time considerations
-
Integrate sensors (lidar, camera, IMU, wheel odometry) and build robust sensor fusion pipelines
-
Run simulation-to-real workflows using Gazebo/Isaac Sim; validate behavior across scenarios
-
Create test harnesses, regression suites, and QA evaluation metrics (latency, failure rate, tracking error)
-
Collaborate with hardware, embedded, and safety partners to debug field issues and reduce failures
What We're Looking For
-
Mid-Senior robotics software engineering experience
-
Strong C++ and Python skills on real-time or near-real-time systems
-
Hands-on ROS/ROS2, Linux, and CI/CD exposure
-
Knowledge of SLAM/localization, kinematics/dynamics, and control fundamentals
-
Comfort with logs/telemetry analysis, experiment design, and iteration
