Rex.zone is hiring a Mid-Senior Robotics Engineer to design, integrate, and validate robotic systems across perception, planning, control, and hardware interfaces in a full-time remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and test ROS2 autonomy modules (SLAM/localization, obstacle detection, motion planning, autonomous navigation)
  • Integrate cameras, LiDAR, IMU, compute, actuators; build sensor fusion pipelines and calibrations
  • Build simulation-first test scenarios (Gazebo or equivalent), reproduce issues, and validate fixes before deployment
  • Analyze field logs to identify failure modes, regressions, and reliability improvements
  • Define QA evaluation protocols for navigation safety, recovery behaviors, and edge-case handling
  • Support AI/ML workflows: dataset curation, annotation guideline compliance, training data quality checks, prompt/LLM evaluation for robotics documentation and triage

Required Qualifications

  • Mid-Senior experience shipping robotics/autonomy features from prototype to field validation
  • Strong Python and C++ with debugging, profiling, and unit/integration testing
  • Hands-on ROS2 experience (messages, TF frames, real-time data pipelines)
  • Knowledge of computer vision, SLAM, path planning, and control systems

Employment Details

Full-time, Remote (US metadata). Compensation: $30–$50 hourly, depending on experience and scope.
