Job Description

Robotics Jobs Nicaragua

Rex.zone is hiring a Robotics Engineer for a remote , full-time role supporting distributed teams building production-ready robotics and autonomy systems. You will design, implement, and validate capabilities across perception, planning, and control stacks, using simulation, logs, and test data to improve reliability and performance.

What You Will Do

  • Build and maintain robotics software modules for perception, localization, mapping, planning, and control
  • Integrate sensors (camera, LiDAR, IMU, GPS) and implement sensor fusion for robust state estimation
  • Develop motion planning behaviors and trajectory generation with safety constraints and real-time considerations
  • Create simulation environments and regression test harnesses using Gazebo to reproduce field issues and validate fixes
  • Analyze runtime logs/telemetry to debug failures, reduce latency, and improve system uptime
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on interfaces, deployment procedures, and acceptance criteria

Required Qualifications

  • Mid-to-senior experience delivering robotics/autonomy software end-to-end
  • Strong C++ and Python skills with focus on performance, memory safety, and maintainability
  • Hands-on ROS2 experience (nodes, topics, services, TF, launch) and modular system design
  • Knowledge of perception fundamentals, calibration, filtering, and probabilistic estimation
  • Familiarity with planning and controls (e.g., PID/MPC), kinematics/dynamics, and trajectory tracking

Tools & Workflows

ROS2, C++/Python, Gazebo simulation, bag replay, log analysis, profiling, code review, and test-driven improvements aligned to autonomy KPIs (localization accuracy, obstacle handling, tracking error, uptime).

How To Apply

Apply via Rex.zone with your resume and a short summary of shipped robotics projects (stack, your role, and measurable outcomes). Include links to repos, write-ups, or demos where possible.
