Job Description

Robotics Jobs Guayaquil (Remote) on Rex.zone

Join a remote, full-time robotics engineering team building production-grade autonomous systems. You will own modules end-to-end, improving reliability, safety, and performance in simulation and on real robot hardware.

What You Will Do

  • Design, implement, and test robot software modules for perception, localization, navigation, and manipulation
  • Build ROS/ROS2 nodes, services, launch files, and message interfaces
  • Develop SLAM and sensor fusion pipelines using LiDAR, IMU, cameras, and wheel odometry
  • Implement motion planning and trajectory tracking for mobile robots and robotic arms
  • Tune control loops and state estimation for stability and safety
  • Create simulation-first test plans using Gazebo/Isaac and hardware-in-the-loop when available
  • Write unit/integration tests, CI checks, and performance benchmarks
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to translate requirements into validated robot behaviors
  • Document architecture decisions, interfaces, and deployment procedures

Required Qualifications

  • Mid-to-senior experience building and shipping robotics software
  • Strong C++ and Python for real-time/near-real-time robotics workloads
  • Hands-on ROS/ROS2 experience (TF/TF2, Nav stack concepts, parameters)
  • Practical knowledge of SLAM, state estimation, and sensor fusion
  • Motion planning fundamentals (collision checking, sampling-based planning or optimization)
  • Control systems fundamentals (PID, model-based control basics) and kinematics
  • Perception/computer vision experience (calibration, tracking, detection/segmentation)
  • Ability to debug distributed systems across simulation and physical hardware
  • Strong communication and documentation habits in a remote team

Tools & Tech

  • ROS/ROS2, C++, Python, Linux, Git
  • Gazebo/Isaac simulation, OpenCV, Eigen, PCL, TF2, Docker, CI/CD

How To Apply

Apply through Rex.zone with a resume highlighting ROS/ROS2 projects, deployed robotics systems, SLAM/perception work, and links to code samples or technical write-ups.

Include the robot domains you have worked on (AMR, drone, arm, vision-based navigation) and the tools you used.
