About the Role



We are seeking a highly motivated Robotics Engineer to join an innovative engineering team supporting advanced robotics research and development projects.



Responsibilities



  • Set up, configure, operate, and troubleshoot collaborative robotic arms (e.g., Universal Robots).
  • Develop, modify, and debug Python scripts for automation, experimental control, and data logging.
  • Support robotics experiments by integrating mechanical, electrical, and software components.
  • Design, build, and validate prototypes using 3D printing, hand tools, and basic soldering techniques.
  • Read and interpret CAD models and engineering drawings to perform precise mechanical assembly and modifications.
  • Execute system testing, collect experimental data, and document results.
  • Troubleshoot electromechanical systems and identify root causes of hardware and software issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to improve robotic systems and workflows.
  • Maintain lab equipment, robotic platforms, and testing environments while following safety standards.



Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Robotics, or a related engineering discipline.



Required Skills



  • Hands-on experience with collaborative robotic arms such as Universal Robots (UR).
  • Strong proficiency in Python programming for automation, scripting, and debugging.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping tools, including 3D printers, hand tools, and basic soldering.
  • Ability to read and interpret CAD models using SolidWorks, Siemens NX, or similar CAD software.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.



Preferred Skills



  • Experience working in an electromechanical R&D laboratory.
  • Knowledge of robotics integration, sensors, actuators, and motion control systems.
  • Familiarity with robotics testing methodologies and data analysis.
  • Experience supporting prototype development from concept through validation.
  • Exposure to Linux environments and version control tools is a plus.
