  • Integrate and program robotic systems, particularly Fanuc and UR robots (additional robotics experience is a plus)
  • Support the installation, launch, and production of automated cells
  • Develop and implement contingency and disaster recovery plans
  • Mentor and train plant controls engineers, assist with troubleshooting, and provide continuous improvement support to production teams
  • Create, modify, and update HMI projects as needed
  • Support the design and implementation of vision systems for robotic guidance (offsets)
  • Conduct and support risk assessments for all automated systems to ensure compliance with safety standards (OSHA, ANSI/RIA 15.06, etc.)
  • Participate in Kaizen events, improvement walks, and error-proofing initiatives to improve system reliability and uptime
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to set performance standards, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system reliability
  • Travel across North America for project implementation, system support, and training (up to 50% travel)

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in automation engineering, robotics integration, or a similar roles
  • Expert knowledge of PLC programming (RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000, Factory Talk HMI).
  • Extensive experience with Fanuc and UR robotics integration, programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills with a deep understanding of control systems.
  • Knowledgeable in Allen Bradley PLC systems (Micro Logix, Compact Logix, Control Logix) and relevant software (RSLogix, Studio 5000).
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, create HMI projects, and make modifications as needed.
  • Experience with servo-driven equipment, vision systems (for robot guidance), and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs/AMRs) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of safety standards for industrial automation (robot safety, machine guarding, etc.).
  • Proven experience in managing small to mid-sized projects, providing technical guidance, and leading integrators.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% across North America
