Appletree designs, manufactures, and supplies a wide range of suspended access equipment, including Building Maintenance Units (BMU), Aerial Work Platforms, JIB and Davit Systems, and Monorail Systems. Its products are widely used for façade cleaning, construction support, ACP and glass replacement, as well as elevator installation and maintenance, offering applicants exposure to diverse building infrastructure projects.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Robotics Engineer role based in Gurugram. The Robotics Engineer will design, develop, and integrate robotic and automation solutions to support building maintenance equipment and related operations. Day-to-day activities include analyzing maintenance workflows, identifying automation opportunities, developing control software, and collaborating with mechanical and electrical teams to integrate robotics into existing systems. The role involves testing and commissioning robotic systems, troubleshooting technical issues, optimizing performance and safety, and documenting designs, processes, and test results. The engineer will also work closely with operations and customer support teams to ensure that automated solutions meet client requirements and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Robotics and Process Automation to design, implement, and optimize automated maintenance solutions.
  • Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to diagnose system issues, interpret data, and improve performance and reliability.
  • Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and clients, and to prepare clear technical documentation.
  • Candidates should possess Software Development skills for control systems, scripting, and integration of sensors, actuators, and interfaces.
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field; advanced degrees are an advantage.
  • Experience with industrial automation, control systems (PLC, microcontrollers), and safety standards in building or industrial environments is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools, simulation software, and basic mechanical design principles is preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site, manage multiple projects, and adapt solutions to varied building maintenance contexts.
