Job Description

About The Role

Robotics Engineer Work Managua is a full-time remote engineering role on Rex.zone focused on building, integrating, and validating robotic systems that combine perception, controls, and autonomy. You will deliver production-minded robotics software with strong reliability, documentation, and testing practices.

What You Will Do

  • Design and ship autonomy pipelines (perception → localization → planning → control) end-to-end
  • Build and maintain ROS/ROS2 nodes, topics, services, and action interfaces with robust message contracts
  • Integrate sensors (cameras, IMUs, LiDAR, encoders, depth sensors) including calibration and time synchronization
  • Develop simulation-first workflows using Gazebo and/or Isaac Sim and validate behaviors before deployment
  • Diagnose reliability issues via telemetry, bag/log analysis, profiling, and root-cause analysis, then deliver fixes with tests

Required Qualifications

  • Mid-Senior experience delivering robotics features into real systems or rigorously validated simulation environments
  • Strong C++ and Python for robotics development in Linux
  • Practical ROS/ROS2 experience and distributed system debugging
  • Understanding of SLAM/localization, sensor fusion, motion planning, and closed-loop control
  • Comfort with Git workflows, CI practices, and reproducible/containerized builds

Work Arrangement

Remote, full-time, designed for distributed collaboration with clear documentation, asynchronous updates, and scheduled engineering syncs.

Compensation

Competitive hourly base pay: $30-$50/hour (USD), depending on experience and scope.
