About The Role
Rex.zone is hiring a Robotics Engineer to design, integrate, and validate robotics systems across perception, sensor fusion, SLAM/localization, motion planning, and control. This is a remote, full-time role focused on production-grade reliability, simulation-to-real validation, and measurable performance improvements.
Key Responsibilities
-
Design and implement ROS/ROS2 nodes, services, and message-driven pipelines
-
Integrate and calibrate sensor stacks (camera, LiDAR, IMU, GPS) and maintain synchronized data flows
-
Implement or improve SLAM/localization/mapping with clear evaluation metrics
-
Develop motion planning and trajectory generation with safety constraints and real-time considerations
-
Build simulation workflows (Gazebo or equivalent) and scenario-based regression tests
-
Instrument logging, monitoring, and debugging to reduce field issues and improve reliability
-
Collaborate on annotation guidelines compliance and labeling QA checks where perception datasets are used
-
Document interfaces, assumptions, and operational playbooks for deployments
Required Qualifications
-
Mid-Senior experience delivering robotics software in production or advanced prototyping
-
Strong Python and C++ development with testing discipline
-
Hands-on ROS/ROS2 experience (nodes, sensor integration, hardware abstraction)
-
Understanding of kinematics, dynamics, estimation, and control systems
-
Practical experience with SLAM, sensor fusion, or computer vision pipelines
-
Linux tooling, Docker, and CI/CD practices
Work Arrangement
