Robotics Engineer Jobs (Remote) — Rex.zone

Build production-grade robotic autonomy by developing software for perception, localization, motion planning, and control, then validating behavior in simulation and on real hardware. You will collaborate with distributed engineering teams to improve reliability, performance, and debuggability across the full robotics stack.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and maintain robotics software components (ROS/ROS2 nodes, drivers, middleware)
  • Build perception and localization modules (SLAM, sensor fusion, visual odometry) and connect them to planning and control
  • Implement motion planning and trajectory generation, tune controllers, and validate stability
  • Create simulation environments (Gazebo/Isaac/Unity or equivalent) and run regression tests to improve sim-to-real transfer
  • Instrument telemetry, logs, and metrics to debug field issues and improve robot reliability
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and product teams on requirements and milestones

Required Qualifications

  • Mid-to-senior robotics engineering experience with strong fundamentals
  • Strong C++ and Python skills with production practices (testing, code review, CI)
  • Hands-on ROS/ROS2 experience and common robotics tooling
  • Understanding of kinematics, dynamics, motion planning, and control systems
  • Sensor integration experience (LiDAR, camera, IMU) including calibration and synchronization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Field deployment experience and on-robot debugging
  • SLAM/mapping/localization frameworks and sensor fusion approaches
  • Computer vision for robotics (OpenCV, point clouds) and performance optimization
  • Embedded/real-time constraints and safety-oriented system design
