Robotics Engineer (Remote, Full-Time)
Rex.zone is hiring a Mid-Senior Robotics Engineer to design, build, and validate robotic system capabilities across perception, localization, mapping, motion planning, and control. You will bridge simulation workflows with on-robot testing to improve safety, reliability, and real-world performance.
Key Responsibilities

Design and implement algorithms for localization, SLAM, sensor fusion, motion planning, and feedback control

Build and maintain ROS/ROS2 nodes, message interfaces, and launch configurations for repeatable deployments

Integrate sensors such as cameras, LiDAR, IMU, and encoders; analyze logs and telemetry to reduce failure modes

Validate performance via simulation scenarios, bench tests, and structured on-robot field testing

Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and product teams on interfaces, requirements, and release milestones
Required Qualifications

Mid-Senior experience in robotics engineering with strong C++ and Python

Hands-on ROS/ROS2 and Linux development experience

Knowledge of kinematics, dynamics, coordinate frames/transforms, and state estimation

Practical experience with SLAM, mapping, planning, and control systems
Preferred Qualifications

Experience deploying robots in real environments and improving reliability under hardware constraints

Computer vision/perception exposure (calibration, feature extraction, obstacle detection)

Embedded/real-time constraints and hardware integration experience
Compensation
Competitive hourly rate: $30–$50/hr (base).
