Job Description

Robotics Engineer (Remote, Full-Time) — Rex.zone

Build, integrate, and validate autonomous and semi-autonomous robotic systems across mobile robots, manipulators, and industrial automation. You will deliver production-grade robotics software with strong reliability and real-world robustness.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and ship robotics capabilities across autonomy software, perception, planning, and controls
  • Implement ROS/ROS2 nodes and integrate sensors (LiDAR, camera, IMU, encoders)
  • Build SLAM/localization pipelines and contribute to navigation stacks (mapping, path planning)
  • Tune control systems and debug complex timing/synchronization and integration issues
  • Validate performance via simulation and hardware-in-the-loop testing; define metrics and regression tests
  • Document interfaces, configurations, and operational runbooks for maintainable deployments

Required Qualifications

  • Mid-Senior experience in robotics/autonomy systems (production or research-to-production)
  • Strong C++ and Python; hands-on ROS/ROS2 on Linux
  • Knowledge of SLAM, coordinate frames/TF, calibration, and motion planning fundamentals
  • Comfort integrating and troubleshooting sensors, drivers, and real-time constraints

Preferred

  • Computer vision / 3D perception, sensor fusion (EKF/UKF), state estimation
  • Simulation tools (Gazebo, Isaac Sim, Mujoco, Webots) and performance profiling
  • Safety practices, fault handling, and field operations experience

Compensation

Hourly base pay range: $30–$50/hr (depending on experience and scope). Role is listed as Remote and Full-Time .

How To Apply

Apply via Rex.zone and include a short summary of robotics projects (ROS/ROS2 modules, SLAM results, motion planning/controls, sensor integration, simulation + HIL validation). Share links to code, demos, or papers where available.
