Robotics Engineer (Remote, Full-Time)
Rex.zone is hiring a Mid-Senior Robotics Engineer to design, implement, and validate autonomous robotic capabilities across perception, mapping, planning, and control. This role is simulation-first and supports structured evaluation workflows to improve safety, reliability, and deployment readiness.
Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain robotics software modules for perception, localization, planning, and control using ROS/ROS2

Implement sensor fusion pipelines (camera, LiDAR, IMU, GPS) for robust state estimation and mapping (SLAM)

Develop motion planning and trajectory optimization methods for safe navigation in dynamic environments

Create simulation-first workflows using Gazebo/Isaac and scenario replay for regression testing

Define metrics and evaluation protocols (latency, stability, collision rate, tracking error) and drive measurable performance improvements

Integrate robotics stacks with CI/CD, logging, and on-robot diagnostics; investigate failures and deliver fixes

Collaborate with product, QA, and safety stakeholders on requirements, acceptance tests, and deployment criteria
Qualifications

Mid-Senior experience in robotics engineering, autonomy, or embedded software

Strong C++ and Python skills; hands-on ROS/ROS2 architecture and tooling experience

Knowledge of kinematics/dynamics, control systems (PID/MPC), and motion planning

Experience with SLAM/localization and sensor fusion methods (EKF/UKF)

Ability to debug distributed robotic systems using logs, bag files, telemetry, and profiling tools
Compensation
Competitive base pay: $30–$50 per hour (HOURLY), depending on experience and scope.
