Robotics Engineer (Remote, Full-Time | Mid-Senior)
Join Rex.zone to build and deploy real-world robotic systems and support AI/ML training workflows. You will work across perception, localization, mapping, planning, and control, while improving autonomy through data labeling operations, QA evaluation, and human feedback loops (including RLHF-style preference evaluation where applicable).
Key Responsibilities
-
Develop ROS/ROS2 nodes and robotics middleware components from prototype to production
-
Integrate and calibrate sensors (cameras, LiDAR, IMU, encoders) and build robust logging/playback tools
-
Implement and tune sensor fusion, SLAM, motion planning, and control loops
-
Validate behavior in simulation and on hardware; create test harnesses and maintain CI practices
-
Define annotation guidelines and audit labeled datasets (boxes, segmentation, keypoints, cuboids, trajectories)
-
Run QA evaluation for training data quality, compliance, and error analysis; improve model performance and safety
Required Qualifications
-
Mid-Senior experience shipping robotics/autonomy software
-
Strong Python and C++ skills; Linux proficiency; disciplined debugging and testing
-
Hands-on ROS/ROS2 and simulation experience (e.g., Gazebo/Isaac/Unity)
-
Working knowledge of dataset curation, evaluation metrics, and training data quality checks
