We are looking for a
Robotics Engineer Intern
to help build a full-stack
long-distance GPS + camera-operated rover
with remote control, live video streaming, GPS tracking, obstacle detection, audio interaction, lighting, delivery compartment, and solar charging integration.
This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to work across
mechanical, embedded, software, and systems integration
layers of a real robotics product.
What You Will Build
The intern will contribute to the development of a rover platform with features such as:

Remote driving over cellular internet

Front and rear cameras

GPS-based tracking and waypoint navigation

Obstacle detection and auto-stop logic
-
Emergency stop and signal-loss safety behavior
-
Headlights, taillights, and horn/speaker control
-
Text-to-speech audio interaction

Package delivery compartment
-
Solar charging station and auto-docking support
Key Responsibilities
-
Assist in designing and prototyping the rover chassis, component layout, and mounting system
-
Work on ESP32 / microcontroller-based motor and sensor control
-
Support integration of GPS, cameras, speaker, lighting, and obstacle sensors
-
Help develop communication between rover hardware and web/mobile control interface
-
Contribute to telemetry, safety logic, and remote command execution
-
Test power systems, battery performance, and charging workflows
-
Support documentation, wiring diagrams, BOM, and technical notes
-
Collaborate with mechanical, embedded, and software team members
-
Debug hardware, firmware, and integration issues during development
Required Skills

Strong interest in robotics, mechatronics, or embedded systems
-
Basic knowledge of electronics, motors, sensors, and microcontrollers

Familiarity with
ESP32
, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or similar platforms

Understanding of serial communication, PWM, GPIO, and sensor interfacing

Basic programming ability in
C/C++ / Python

Willingness to work on hardware testing, iteration, and troubleshooting

Good problem-solving and documentation skills
Preferred Skills

Experience with ROS / ROS2

Experience with GPS modules, motor drivers, and camera systems

Exposure to WebSockets, MQTT, or remote device control

Knowledge of battery systems, BMS, and power distribution

Basic CAD or mechanical design experience
