We are developing an interactive educational robot powered by artificial intelligence and are seeking an experienced Robotics & Embedded Systems Engineer to design, build, and test the first functional prototype.
The robot will communicate through voice, support Arabic interaction, move based on voice commands, display educational content on a television, and provide additional smart functions such as alarms, reminders, time, date, temperature, and battery status.
Responsibilities
-
Design the complete hardware and embedded systems architecture of the robot.
-
Select and integrate processors, microcontrollers, motors, sensors, batteries, microphones, speakers, and displays.
-
Develop and program the robot’s movement and motor control systems.
-
Implement voice-controlled movement and core functions.
-
Integrate obstacle detection, anti-fall sensors, speed limits, and emergency-stop features.
-
Integrate Speech-to-Text, Text-to-Speech, and AI services.
-
Configure microphones and speakers, including noise reduction and acoustic echo cancellation.
-
Connect the robot to a television for displaying educational and interactive content.
-
Program the internal display to show time, date, temperature, reminders, battery level, and system status.
-
Design and test charging, battery protection, and power management systems.
-
Assemble, test, troubleshoot, and optimize the full prototype.
-
Prepare complete technical documentation, source code, schematics, and component lists.
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
-
Proven hands-on experience in robotics, embedded systems, or smart-device prototyping.
-
Experience with Raspberry Pi, NVIDIA Jetson, or similar single-board computers.
-
Experience with ESP32, STM32, Arduino, or similar microcontrollers.
-
Strong programming skills in Python and Embedded C/C++.
-
Experience with DC motors, servo motors, motor drivers, and encoders.
-
Experience with ultrasonic, ToF, IMU, and obstacle detection sensors.
-
Good knowledge of batteries, charging circuits, BMS, and power management.
-
Experience with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, APIs, and IoT systems.
-
Ability to assemble, solder, test, and troubleshoot electronic systems.
Preferred Qualifications
-
