Role: Robotics Developer Intern

Location: Pune, Maharashtra

Duration: 8 months (Onsite)

Overview

As a Robotics Developer Intern, you will get hands-on exposure to robotics development from simulation to real-robot testing. You may work on projects involving navigation, motion planning, perception, and warehouse-automation use cases. Depending on your background and interests, the role may involve reading research papers; implementing code (in simulation and/or on a real robot); testing; debugging; and collaborating with the engineering team.

Key Requirements:

● Bachelor’s (or master’s) degree in Robotics, Automation, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

● Proficiency in C++ and/or Python, with basic debugging skills.

● Familiarity with software development fundamentals: object-oriented design, coding best practices, version control (e.g. Git), Docker, and Linux development environment.

● Basic understanding of robotics concepts: navigation, path planning, mapping/SLAM, perception, motion planning, etc.

● Good knowledge of robotics frameworks (preferably ROS2) and simulation tools (e.g. Gazebo, RViz, Isaac Sim).

● Ability to write ROS2 nodes, including creating publishers, subscribers, services, and actions.

● Strong problem-solving mindset, eagerness to learn, ability to work in a team, and good communication skills.

Good to have:

● Prior projects involving mobile robots, either as standalone robots or as part of multi-robot / multi-agent systems, including tasks like mapping, navigation or coordinated motion.

● Ability to read research papers and implement ideas in a real-world setting.

● Strong communication skills and teamwork capabilities independence, proactivity, and creativity.

● Openness to new experiences, eagerness to learn new things, and willingness to jump in and help with a range of different tasks when needed.
