Role:
Power Electronics Research Engineer responsible for developing new power electronics concepts, modeling, designing, testing converters, and characterizing devices for power generation, transmission, and distribution applications.
Responsibilities

Participate in the development of new power technologies and capabilities within multidisciplinary teams.

Innovate in the power electronics space and contribute to the transition of technologies from concept to product.

Communicate results through reports and presentations, and stay current with industry trends.

Support proposal efforts for business and government clients.
Qualifications & Skills
-
PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field with relevant experience, or Master’s with at least 2 years in power electronics and controls.

3+ years in power electronics research, circuit design, testing of power converters and devices, and controls development.

Familiarity with DC grid concepts, energy storage, microgrids, and renewable integration is desirable.
Additional Requirements

Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and ability to obtain security clearances.

Willingness to work in Niskayuna, NY.
