Role:
Power Electronics Research Engineer specializing in developing innovative power electronics concepts and solutions for energy applications.
Responsibilities:
Conduct system modeling, simulation, design, and testing of power converters and submodules; develop EMI filters; contribute to advanced power conversion technologies; collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to transition concepts into products; communicate findings through reports and presentations; stay updated on industry trends and contribute to proposals.
Qualifications & Skills

PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field with relevant experience, or Master’s with a minimum of 2 years in power electronics development.

Over 3 years of experience in power electronics research, design, and testing of converters and control solutions.

Knowledge of DC grid concepts, energy storage, microgrids, and renewable integration is preferred.
Additional Details:
Must have legal work authorization in the U.S., current or active Secret Clearance (ability to obtain Top-Secret), and willingness to work in Niskayuna, NY. The role involves access to export-controlled information and requires U.S. citizenship.
