Carnegie Mellon Universityβs Robotics Institute is searching for a Research Assistant to join their team. We are seeking creative and upbeat Research Assistant that will assist in the development and execution of research projects including experiment design, analysis of data collected and writing up experiment results. Responsibilities include following research plans to collect, record, and manipulate research data, maintaining accurate and detailed research records and files, testing software prototypes, interacting with research subjects, performing basic data analysis to produce reports, documenting results and processes, performing library research and field explorations, reading relevant research papers and generating ideas, training neural networks on language and vision datasets, writing evaluation code to check model performance, and other duties as assigned. Requirements include High School or GED, 0-1 years of experience in data entry, data collection and analysis, record management, and research experience. Training includes OSHA Hazardous Materials Safety Training.
