Job Description

JDA Systems has been designing and manufacturing mission-critical telemetry data recovery and processing systems for customers in space, aviation, and defense for over 30 years — from antenna and tracking systems to RF receivers and recording and processing software. Our systems are deployed worldwide in flight tests, space missions, and defense programs. To strengthen our team, we are looking for an RF/Electronics Engineer (m/f/d) who also develops embedded software for microcontrollers and FPGAs.

Your responsibilities:

•       Development and layout of printed circuit boards (PCB) for our RF and telemetry systems

•       Component selection and procurement based on technical specifications

•       Assembly, build-up, and commissioning of prototypes and sub-assemblies

•       Development and programming of microcontroller firmware for our systems

•       Development and implementation of FPGA designs for signal processing

•       Debugging, verification, and testing of hardware/software interfaces

•       Use of AI-assisted development tools to support development, documentation, and debugging

•       Close collaboration with engineering and production in transferring prototypes to series production


Your profile:

•       Degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Embedded Systems, or Computer Science

•       Experience in PCB design (e.g. with Altium Designer or comparable tools)

•       Experience in component selection based on specifications, as well as in building prototypes

•       Programming experience with microcontrollers (e.g. C/C++) as well as experience in FPGA development

•       Experience using AI-assisted development tools

•       Understanding of test environments and regulatory requirements in aerospace or defense an advantage

•       Independent, structured way of working

•       Good German and English language skills, spoken and written
