Role Description
The Quantum Sensor Engineer will work on the design, development, and optimization of quantum-based sensing systems and related software at our Hyderabad office. This full-time, on-site role involves modeling and simulating quantum sensor behavior, performing experimental characterization, and integrating sensor outputs with embedded and cloud-based applications. The engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including software architects, product managers, and UI/UX designers to translate sensing requirements into robust technical implementations. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing experimental setups, analyzing measurement data, improving sensitivity and stability of sensor prototypes, documenting technical findings, and supporting system integration and testing. The role also involves staying current with advances in quantum technologies and contributing to research, feasibility studies, and future product roadmaps.
Qualifications

Strong foundation in physics, quantum mechanics, and sensing principles, with experience in areas such as quantum optics, atomic sensors, or solid-state quantum devices.

Hands-on skills in experimental design, laboratory measurement, data acquisition, and signal processing using tools such as MATLAB, Python, or similar scientific environments.

Proficiency in relevant hardware and electronics, including working with lasers, optics, high-precision electronics, embedded systems, and instrumentation for sensor integration.

Experience in modeling and simulation of physical systems, using numerical methods and software for analyzing sensor performance, noise characteristics, and stability.

Ability to collaborate effectively with software and product teams, including communicating technical concepts clearly and contributing to system-level architecture and design decisions.

Strong documentation, reporting, and presentation skills for experimental results, design specifications, and technical reviews.

Master’s or PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related field; candidates with equivalent practical experience are also encouraged to apply.

Experience with industrial or applied R&D projects, especially in sensing, instrumentation, or advanced hardware development, is an advantage.
