Job Description

Q-Factor, a newly established startup, is building a full-stack quantum computer using neutral atoms. Recent years have seen the rapid rise of neutral atoms as a leading modality in the exciting field of quantum computing. Our fantastic team, born out of decades of combined experience, is utilizing state of art technology together with a unique novel approach towards realizing a fully working quantum processing unit with unmatched performances. We’re looking for exceptional people to join our growing vibrant team of physicists, engineers and algorithms developers.


As an algorithmic researcher at Q-Factor you will work on developing and adjusting state of the art quantum algorithms, including quantum error correction, to our quantum processing unit. You will review available algorithms and codes and develop advanced approaches towards implementation on our neutral atom technology, collaborating with experimental and theoretical physics teams.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quantum algorithms on our neutral atom quantum computer
  • Maintain state of the art know-how of quantum algorithms and quantum error correction
  • Formulate specific algorithmic requirements, directing system engineering
  • Collaborate with physics and engineering teams


Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in physics, mathematics or computer science
  • Excellent math skills and understanding of algorithms
  • Background in complexity theory
  • Background in quantum computation – an advantage
  • Good interpersonal skills and teamwork capability
  • Self-reliance and high motivation
