Job Description

Quantum Computing Research Intern | UV Netware [UVNPL]

Location: Remote | IN
Duration: 3 Months
Stipend: ₹15,000/month

Company Information

UV Netware is a technology company building solutions in AI, cloud, software engineering, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and emerging technologies. Alongside our engineering teams, our Research & Innovation division explores next-generation fields such as Quantum Computing, High-Performance Computing, Distributed Systems, and Advanced AI.

We're looking for curious people who enjoy solving hard problems and want to learn by building, researching, and experimenting.

About the Internship

This internship is intended for students and fresh graduates who want to start their journey in Quantum Computing. You don't need previous industry experience or published research. What matters most is your ability to learn quickly, think logically, and enjoy working on challenging technical problems.

Over three months, you'll learn how quantum computers work, study quantum algorithms, write code using quantum development frameworks, read research papers, and work on small research problems with guidance from our mentors.

This is a research internship, not a training program. You'll be expected to explore ideas independently, ask questions, document your work, and continuously improve throughout the internship.

What You'll Work On

You'll spend time understanding the fundamentals of quantum computing before moving on to implementing quantum circuits and algorithms using tools such as Qiskit or Cirq. Depending on your progress, you'll also explore topics like quantum search algorithms, quantum optimization, variational algorithms, quantum machine learning, and hybrid quantum-classical computing.

You'll read technical papers, reproduce existing experiments, write clean Python code, document your findings, and discuss your work with the research team. Every week brings new learning objectives and technical challenges.

Who Can Apply

We're open to applications from students and recent graduates pursuing or holding degrees in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.

What We're Looking For

You should be comfortable with Python and have a good understanding of programming basics, data structures, and algorithms. Familiarity with linear algebra, probability, or quantum computing is helpful but not required. If you've completed personal projects, online courses, research work, hackathons, or open-source contributions, we'd love to see them.

Most importantly, we're looking for people who enjoy learning, aren't afraid of difficult problems, and can work independently in a remote environment.

Selection Process

Applications will be reviewed through LinkedIn.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an online screening examination on 21 July, followed by a technical discussion and final interview.

What You'll Get

A monthly stipend of ₹15,000, hands-on exposure to quantum computing research, mentorship from experienced engineers, a certificate upon successful completion, and the opportunity to be considered for future internships or full-time roles based on performance.

How to Apply

Apply directly through LinkedIn.
