Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Firmware Architecture & Development
  • Lead firmware architecture and embedded software design for UPS and power electronics platformsĀ 
  • Develop real-time control firmware for:Ā 
  • AC/DC converters, DC/DC converters, Inverters, Battery chargersĀ 
  • Design control algorithms for: Voltage regulation, Current control, PFC , Battery charging , Protection logicĀ  Ā  Ā  and Thermal managementĀ 
  • Product Development (NPDI)
  • Support complete NPDI lifecycle from concept to production releaseĀ 
  • Participate in:Ā 
  • Requirement definition ,System architecture , Design reviews , Integration , Validation ,Field supportĀ 
  • Collaborate with electrical, controls, mechanical, test, and compliance teamsĀ 
  • Controls & Power Electronics
  • Implement digital control techniques: PID control , PWM generation , Synchronization & Transfer logicĀ 
  • Support advanced control algorithms for UPS topology and battery systemsĀ 
  • Embedded Software Development
  • Develop embedded firmware using:Ā 
  • C/C++Ā 
  • RTOSĀ 
  • Bare-metal systemsĀ 
  • Work on microcontrollers/DSPs such as:Ā 
  • TI C2000Ā 
  • STM32Ā 
  • Develop communication protocols:Ā

  • Perform firmware debugging and root cause analysisĀ

  • Support innovation and continuous improvement initiativesĀ 

    Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics or Electrical or related Engineering with at least 15+Ā years of professional engineering experience designing, developingĀ and analyzing embedded control system firmware
  • Must have a strong background inĀ embedded coding, coding review, debugging, testing, and deployment.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing power electronics control algorithms tailored to application needs.
  • Strong knowledge of TI C2000 series microcontrollers, such as the TMS320F28x
  • Prior experience with UPS control firmware is preferred (battery management, power converter control, etc.)
  • Understands hardware schematics and work with the hardware team to deliver production worthy hardware/software co-designed architecture
  • Model-based development withĀ MATLABĀ® and SimulinkĀ® and Typhoon Hardware in Loop.
  • Experience with source control management (GIT etc.)
  • Experienced in unit testing, Debugging, Bug fixing, verification testing, reliability testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
