We’re hiring a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead Synchron’s custom ASIC program for a next-generation implantable neural interface.
This is a senior individual contributor role owning one of the most critical technical foundations of our platform: custom silicon capable of capturing neural signals at the fidelity, power, and reliability required for chronic implant use.
We’re looking for someone who has successfully taken a custom ASIC from early concept and specification through design, verification, silicon bring-up, qualification, and production release.
You’ll work across electrical engineering, firmware, signal processing, mechanical, clinical, manufacturing, and external ASIC partners to make sure the silicon meets system-level performance, reliability, power, manufacturability, and long-term implant requirements.
Ideal background includes:
Synchron is building brain-computer interface technology designed to restore connection, communication, and independence for people with paralysis. This role sits at the intersection of custom silicon, neural engineering, and implantable medical technology.
If you’ve led complex ASIC programs and want to apply that experience to deeply meaningful neurotechnology, I’d love to connect!
