OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW
VanSpeag Group LLC (VSG) is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a technology company developing high-power wireless charging systems for automotive, industrial, aerospace, and consumer markets. This is a hands-on engineering role at the heart of the company’s hardware development effort.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Power Electronics Engineer will take ownership of converter and amplifier circuit designs from concept through validation. Working alongside RF and systems engineers, this individual will contribute to the design, simulation, and bench-level testing of high-power wireless power solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Design, simulate, and validate power electronic circuits including resonant converters, inverters, and DC/DC stages
· Develop and characterize custom magnetics, GaN/SiC switching circuits, and analog control loops
· Conduct bench-level testing, debug hardware failures, and iterate designs to meet performance specs
· Collaborate with RF engineers on system-level integration of wireless power transfer topologies
· Generate detailed design documentation including schematics, BOMs, and test procedures
· Support EMC/EMI compliance testing and drive design changes to meet regulatory standards
· Engage with component vendors and support procurement of specialty parts
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus in power electronics
· 2–5 years of hands-on experience in power electronics design and validation
· Proficiency in simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, LTspice, or PLECS
· Experience with GaN or SiC power devices, resonant converters, or wireless power transfer (WPT) is highly desirable
· Solid understanding of magnetics design, PCB layout for high-frequency switching, and thermal management
· Familiarity with EMC standards (FCC, CE) and laboratory measurement techniques
· Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
