Job Description
We are seeking a Power Electronics Research Engineer to develop innovative power electronics concepts, including system modeling, circuit design, testing, and device characterization. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to transition technologies from concept to product, contributing to power conversion solutions for energy generation, transmission, and distribution applications.

- Innovating within the power electronics space and communicating results through reports and presentations
- Staying current with industry technological developments

Contributing to proposals for internal and external clients
- PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field with relevant experience, or a Master’s with at least 2 years of experience

At least 3 years of research, design, and testing experience in power electronics, converters, and controls

Familiarity with DC grid concepts, energy storage, microgrids, and renewable integration
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and ability to obtain security clearances

Willingness to work in Niskayuna, NY
