As a PCB & Embedded Systems Engineer at STIC, you will own the full hardware stack from schematic and layout through firmware bring-up and system validation for our mobility intelligence platform.
You will design compact, battery-powered, connected devices that integrate BLE, cellular, GNSS, and edge sensing. This role bridges hardware and firmware, requiring strong system thinking to deliver reliable, production-ready devices that operate in real-world automotive environments.
You are expected to move seamlessly from board design to firmware + system validation, owning outcomes end-to-end.
What You Will Do Hardware / PCB
-
Own PCB design from concept through EVT/DVT/PVT and production
-
Design compact, low-power boards for
BLE, LTE/5G, GNSS, and sensor systems
-
Develop schematics and layouts across
RF, mixed-signal, and high-speed domains
-
Drive
DFM/DFA
, stack-ups, impedance control, and fabrication readiness
-
Work directly with vendors (fab/CM) to resolve yield, cost, and reliability issues
-
Optimize for
EMI/EMC, thermal, and rugged automotive conditions
Embedded / Firmware
-
Develop and maintain
embedded firmware (C/C++)
for microcontrollers and wireless modules
-
Implement
BLE communication (advertising, scanning, data payloads, RSSI-based logic)
-

-
Define and implement
device-to-phone/cloud communication protocols
-
Support OTA updates, diagnostics, and field reliability improvements
System Ownership
-
Bring up new boards, debug hardware/firmware issues, and validate system performance
-
Collaborate with software and AI teams for full system integration
-
Define test plans and support validation (RF performance, power, environmental)
-
Inspect and debug PCBAs, closing the loop into design improvements
-
Establish reusable
hardware + firmware platforms
for scaling

Why This Role Matters at STIC
This role is the backbone of STIC’s transition from
prototype (BLE + off-the-shelf)
to a
fully integrated, proprietary hardware + intelligence platform
.
You will directly shape the device that powers:
-
Data capture
-
Edge intelligence
-
Real-world deployment at scale
This is a
0 to 1 + 1 to N role
build it, prove it, scale it.
