What you will learn and contribute to:
The X-Haul team, part of the MW&CSN Business Unit, is a leader in providing microwave transport solutions within Nokia; the reference product family is Wavence.
You will work as a member of the hardware development team in our X-Haul (MN) R&D Center in Milano/Vimercate as a Physical Designer of digital high-speed and microwave printed circuit boards.

We are currently looking for highly motivated professionals to join our team, who possess a solid understanding of electronic engineering, to shape the future of high-speed and microwave data transmission.
As a PCB Physical Designer, you will be part of the hardware development team in Vimercate, embedded in a worldwide X-Haul (MN) Research and Development organization.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
Fully own designs of analog, digital high-speed, and microwave PCBs, from initial specifications through to completion

Generate complete documentation for manufacturability, including Gerber files (ODB++ format), fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and all supporting documentation

Work closely with other functional groups (including product design, electrical engineering, and operations) to define and execute the design methodology

Implement design standards, including DFA, DFM, and DFT, to satisfy manufacturing requirements

Provide library support, with a full understanding of component creation, pad stacks, required spacing, and clearances

Participate in meetings with manufacturers and new PCB materials suppliers

Participate in design reviews
Key Skills And Experience
A minimum of 5 years of PCB design experience with a comprehensive knowledge of design requirements as they relate to electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing requirements

Strong experience with Mentor Expedition tools (Concurrent mode, Layout Team Server/Client, and Hyperlynx)

Experience in power simulation

Experience in signal integrity and thermal simulation is a plus

The ability to manually route complex multi-layer printed circuit boards with digital, microwave, and analog power circuitry (experience with microcontrollers, fine-pitch BGAs, and microwave devices is preferred)

Familiarity with analog power, digital high-speed frequency, and microwave layout
-
Experience with PCB stack-up design related to impedance, cross-coupling, and capacitance

Knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures, and design requirements for board fabrication and assembly

Fluency in spoken and written English
