About The Role
In this role, you will design and develop advanced robotics solutions across multiple domains, including ground, aerial, and underwater systems. As part of the SoftServe Robotics Group, you will work on end-to-end robotics systems — from prototyping to production — combining perception, planning, control, and system integration in both simulated and real-world environments.
Responsibilities

Design and develop robotics solutions for mobile robots, drones, and autonomous systems

Build rapid prototypes and evolve them into production-ready solutions

Develop and maintain complex robotics systems, including perception, planning, and control components

Test robotics solutions in simulation and real-world environments

Work with simulation tools such as Gazebo, NVIDIA Isaac Sim, Bullet, or CARLA

Integrate robotic systems with cloud services for scalability and enhanced functionality
-
Design automation solutions to improve efficiency and precision across industries

Ensure system performance, reliability, and maintainability through testing and CI/CD practices

Contribute to system architecture design, including HW/SW integration

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on robotics system development and deployment
Requirements
-
5+ years of experience in software development with strong expertise in C/C++ and Python
-
MSc in Computer Science, Robotics, Mechatronics, Applied Mathematics, or related field

Hands-on experience in robotics frameworks (ROS/ROS2, RViz)

Practical experience in mobile robots, drones, AMRs, AGVs, AVs, or automotive systems

Strong knowledge of robotics domains: perception, trajectory planning, kinematics, obstacle avoidance

Experience in simulation tools (Gazebo, Isaac Sim, Bullet, CARLA)

Solid understanding of sensors, actuators, and control systems

Experience in working in Linux/Unix environments

Strong background in system design, architecture, and performance evaluation

Experience in testing, CI/CD, build, deployment, and monitoring processes

Familiarity with functional safety standards and system reliability practices

Experience in odometry solutions such as LIO-SAM

Upper-intermediate English level, both spoken and written

Knowledge of CUDA or hardware acceleration techniques (nice to have)
