C++ Embedded Developer – Industrial Automation

Join the team responsible for the development and maintenance of software for industrial control equipment. The team is working on the introduction of products to a new hardware platform, with particular emphasis on communication areas. The scope of work mainly includes the application layer and middleware running in an RTOS environment. The role is critical to the stability and development of the platform as it relates to components responsible for communication and system integration. The work combines development of new functionality with refactoring and testing of existing solutions.

The team works hybrid from the Katowice office 3 days a week.

Your tasks

• Design and implementation of embedded software in C++ language
• Developing functionalities running in RTOS environment
• Working on the application layer and middleware of the control system
• Integrating new functionalities on a new hardware platform
• Debugging and testing of embedded systems
• Refactoring and maintaining existing code
  
  

Requirements

• Very good knowledge of C++ in embedded systems (C++11, STL)
• Experience in working with real-time systems
• Knowledge of networking issues and the ISO/OSI model
• Familiarity with communication protocols (Ethernet, TCP/IP)
• Ability to debug and test software on embedded devices
• Ability to work in a complex project environment and collaborate in a team environment
• Fluency in English
• Residence in Poland required and fluency in the Polish language

• Use of Python for automation, testing or development tools
• Experience working with control systems or industrial automation
• Participation in refactoring large, multi-year codebases
• Working in an agile scaled framework environment (e.g. SAFe)
