Join Rex.zone to build and support robotic and autonomy features for mining operations connected to Peru-based programs. You will focus on perception, navigation, remote operations, telemetry readiness, and reliability engineering to improve safety, uptime, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities

Own autonomy/robotics features from prototype through field rollout and operational readiness

Integrate ROS2 nodes, vehicle interfaces, and perception pipelines (LiDAR/cameras/radar)

Build evaluation harnesses for navigation, obstacle detection, and localization performance

Define data capture plans, telemetry KPIs, and monitoring dashboards for field performance

Conduct root-cause analysis on incidents, regressions, and reliability issues

Coordinate computer vision annotation and sensor fusion ground-truth workflows; enforce data quality and guideline compliance

Contribute to safety cases, hazard analysis, and safety systems engineering reviews

Document procedures for remote operations, validation, and maintenance
Required Qualifications

Mid-senior experience in robotics, autonomy, or industrial automation

Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++

Hands-on experience with ROS2, SLAM/localization, perception, and sensor fusion

Familiarity with calibration, time synchronization, and field data logging

Ability to design experiments, interpret metrics, and communicate tradeoffs
Preferred Qualifications

Mining equipment autonomy or off-road robotics experience (haul trucks, drills, loaders)

Experience with continuous validation, drift detection, and telemetry monitoring

Exposure to GNSS/INS integration and geospatial systems
Compensation
Competitive hourly pay:
$30–$50 per hour
(USD), based on skills and experience.
