JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Role: Middle Firmware Developer

Job Type: Full-time (08:30 AM – 05:30 PM, Monday to Friday)

Location: Office (Lavita Charm Apartment, Thu Duc Ward, Ho Chi Minh City)


CUSTOMER & PROJECT

The customer is a global company with operations in the US, Taiwan, Canada, and Germany. The customer specializes in manufacturing computer equipment: Keyboards, RAM, Mouse, SSD, etc.

The project is to build software to manage and build firmware for devices (mouse, keyboards, RAM,...). In addition, the company also has multiple projects embedding software into gaming devices.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take ownership of delivering development tasks within agreed-upon time budgets and timelines, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to coding standards.
  • Collaborate with the US team to develop a cross-platform desktop application for configuring devices such as keyboards, mice, SSDs, and lighting accessories.
  • Implement new functionalities to collect event data and send it to the data warehouse for business intelligence reporting and analysis.
  • Enhance existing features and add support for new devices, keeping up with the evolving technology landscape.
  • Debug and fix software bugs reported by customers, providing timely support to the customer service team.
  • Participate in meetings, report project status, contribute to technical discussions, create detailed designs, review code, and maintain comprehensive documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment throughout the development process.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement in the application's performance, security, and user experience, and propose and implement appropriate solutions. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in software development and apply them to continuously improve the application.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 3 years of experience in firmware or embedded software development.
  • Proficient in C/C++ programming with a strong understanding of best practices and efficient coding techniques.
  • Having experience working with MCUs is a mandatory requirement.
  • Familiar with USB protocol.
  • Experience with the HID 2.4 proprietary protocol is a plus.
  • Good English communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Proficient in creating comprehensive technical documentation for designing, testing, and deploying embedded systems.
  • Experienced in working on consumer and business products, ensuring the development of high-quality, user-friendly solutions.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and debugging program issues, employing effective techniques to identify and resolve software problems.
  • Familiarity with hardware devices, enabling seamless collaboration with hardware teams and vendors.
