Role Overview
Own end-to-end industrial automation delivery for Brazil manufacturing lines, including robot cell concept, detailed design, build support, commissioning, and steady-state optimization. You will collaborate with controls, mechanical, and manufacturing stakeholders to translate takt time and quality requirements into reliable robotics solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Design and integrate robotic workcells for welding, material handling, machine tending, assembly, or palletizing

Program and debug industrial robots (e.g., ABB, FANUC, KUKA, Yaskawa) using online and offline programming workflows

Develop and validate PLC logic, I/O mapping, safety circuits, and interlocks for cell operation

Configure machine vision and inspection steps for pick guidance, part presence, and quality checks

Create commissioning plans, run FAT/SAT, and support production ramp with structured issue tracking

Implement cycle-time improvements, OEE monitoring, and downtime root-cause analysis for continuous improvement

Produce documentation: SOPs, maintenance plans, and operator training materials

Ensure compliance with industrial safety standards (risk assessment, guarding, E-stops, safety PLC validation)
Qualifications

Mid-Senior experience delivering industrial robotics in manufacturing environments

Hands-on robot programming and commissioning expertise across at least one major robot OEM

Working knowledge of PLCs, industrial networks (EtherNet/IP, PROFINET), sensors, and actuators

Experience with simulation/offline programming tools and production change control

Ability to collaborate remotely with on-site technicians and vendors supporting Brazil plants
Compensation
Competitive hourly rate:
$30–$50/hr
(USD).
Remote role; commissioning support may require planned on-site windows.
