Job Description

Meta's Training and Inference Accelerators (MTIA) team is developing novel HW to enable efficient execution of AI training and inference workloads. ML Compiler and Performance Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Identifying bottlenecks and quantifying opportunities for improving performance
  • In-depth, end-to-end performance analysis and reporting
  • Developing optimizations to address identified bottlenecks
  • Optimizing compute/communication overlap
  • Work closely with other compiler teams as well as client teams (Recommendation Systems, Generative AI, etc)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience developing and deploying optimizations at the level of PyTorch/Aten or comparable stacks

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Masters degree and 4+ years in-domain experience
  • A PhD degree and 2+ years in-domain experience
  • Experience optimizing multi-node distributed compute
  • Experience optimizing runtimes and/or kernels for accelerator platforms

$74.04/hour to $217,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
