This engagement calls for a Linux Embedded Systems Developer to lead the porting of prplOS across diverse hardware architectures and resolve platform-specific integration challenges. While prior experience with prplOS is not required, deep Linux kernel and device driver expertise is essential to ensure system stability and accelerate delivery timelines.
Responsibilities
Port prplOS to various hardware platforms and troubleshoot integration issues.
Develop and optimize Linux networking stacks, including mac80211 and hostapd.
Contribute to Linux kernel internals, device driver development, and low-level protocol layers.
Collaborate on embedded system architecture to support long-term scalability and reliability.
Qualifications
Advanced proficiency in Linux kernel internals, device drivers, and networking.
Proven experience with embedded Linux development and hardware-level debugging.
Familiarity with mac80211, hostapd, and packet filtering technologies (e.g., eBPF) is preferred but not required.
Compensation
$56 - $62 per hour - Dependent on fit and experience.
