Lead Test Engineer - Embedded & Network .

Join a project in the telecommunications area where the quality and reliability of network communications plays a key role. We are looking for an experienced Lead Test Engineer to combine test process management with deep, technical work on low-level TCP/IP testing.

The role is of a mixed nature - it includes both building and executing test strategies, as well as hands-on testing in the areas of network protocols, performance and system behavior under boundary conditions (e.g. packet loss, connection resets, congestion).

Your tasks

• Develop and execute test strategies for TCP/IP and Ethernet based systems
• Managing the test team and coordinating quality activities in the project
• Perform low-level testing (low-level testing) of TCP/IP protocols
• Testing system behavior in situations such as packet loss, connection reset (RST), overloads
• Analyzing the differences and behavior of TCP vs UDP in practical test scenarios
• Testing DNS, TCP/IP stack software updates and Gigabit/Ethernet communications
• Implementation of performance tests and analysis of results
• Use of diagnostic tools (e.g. Wireshark) to analyze traffic and network problems
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in testing, test management or software development in the area of network systems
• Very good working knowledge of TCP/IP, Ethernet (including Gigabit) and network protocols
• Experience in low-level (low-level) testing, including packet loss analysis, RST, TCP/UDP differences, and system behavior at different layers of the OSI model
• Practice in performance testing and working with traffic analysis tools (e.g. Wireshark)
• Familiarity with embedded systems and working with software close to hardware
• Previous work in the telecommunications industry
• Ability to combine managerial and technical roles (team management + hands-on testing)
• Knowledge of English at the level of min. B2
• Residence in Poland required
