About The Job

As Test Hardware Engineer, you will report to the Hardware design Manager and be a member of the Hardware Design Team. You will design electronic boards to allow testing of electronic components on a chip (Wafer test) or in a package (Final test). Those electronic cards will be used to interface between Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) and Device Under Test (DUT), in accordance with our procedures and quality standards of society and industry and following the guidelines defined by your manager.

Your Responsibilities

You will participate in the development of the hardware test activity and will be responsible for the execution of electronic test board development, including:

- Designing hardware Test boards for electronic components according to customer specifications, in compliance with quality procedures and following the guidelines defined by your manager.

- Managing the development of Test HW boards by subcontractors.

- Performing measurements to validate the boards before their use.

- Writing validation reports and technical documentation in accordance with quality procedures.

- Communicating project progress internally.

- Participating in the implementation of new tools and the improvement of existing techniques.


A good knowledge in the following areas is required:

  • Good level in electronics digital, mixed signal (analog and digital), RF mmwave
  • Electrical Schematic design
  • Printed circuit design (Layout) & PCB manufacturing technologies
  • Spice simulation or equivalent
  • Validation of the electronic boards
  • Knowledge of semiconductor test environment: ATE, handler and prober is a plus


Requirements

  • Education: Ideally Engineering degree (French Bac + 5 level) in Electronics.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the design of electronic boards
  • Good knowledge in printed circuits board technologies
  • Knowledge of component testing is a plus.
  • Experience in the use of laboratory instrumentation: Programmable power supply, signal generator, Power measurement, Oscilloscope, Spectrum analyzer, Vector Network Analyzer (VNA)
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools.
  • Good communication skills and ability to manage customer interactions at the engineering level.
  • English spoken and written compulsory.


Location & Travel

This role is eligible for Flexible Working From Home (FWFH) on occasions in agreement with the Hardware design Manager, but will mostly be based at our office. The role will be based at our office in Caen, France. Occasional travel to our other offices for customer projects may be required.
